The law Courts hosted Bt Engineering for what turned out to be the most farcical and uncompetitive game in the law courts brief history in the league, With BT’s average age pushing 50+ there was only ever going to be one winner in this encounter and so this proved. The match started off in a friendly enough manner until the law courts scored 3 goals in the opening 5 minutes at this stage Bt engineering’s moans and complaints started, and at one stage even wanted a free kick for a fierce shot towards goal that was inadvertently blocked by a BT player! Following another unsuccessful Bt attack the visiting teams player decided to lash out unprovoked and off the ball on the law Courts youngest member by far who is only 17! But despite this the law courts played on, and ran out easy 13-1 winners and really should have added far more to their tally. The law courts team are aware this is a friendly league hence no referee but have never played a game quite like this one in which the opposition seemed to take offence at merely the law courts players being first to the ball and trying to get the ball in the back of the net.
